The rifle was sent back as part of a partial recall. Remington production suffers from rough internal and external finishing, poor assembly, misalignment of sights, careless assembly, and cheap, poorly finished wood (stamped checkering on laminated wood, Or no-grain mystery wood). The last two years of Marlin production, and first 4-5yrs of Remington production are the ones to be suspicious of.įor the last two years, it’s the “droop” you have to be mindful of.
